Mapledale/Van Ruiten Water Interconnection Project
OE provided construction management and inspection services on this project for the City of Bellflower. Three water utilities were involved: the City of Bellflower and two private companies. This project included a construction of an interconnect between two water companies, a new 12 LF water supply line for the City’s water system, 2,900 LF of 12-inch ductile iron pipe (DCP), residential water service laterals, fire hydrant and connection to an existing distribution system on the north end of the City. Saw-cut trenching, slurry backfill, grind and cap were there primary installation method used. OE assisted in coordinating agency efforts to ensure the project completed on time and on budget.
